The calamity

I knocked both external hard drives that backed up all my photographic work from the last five years off my desk and onto the floor last night.

Both drives.
Dead.
All my work.
All of it.

I can't even think that I've lost everything right now, it's way too much to feel at once.

So...if anyone reading this happens to know anyone that's really excellent at hard drive data recovery and can do it for less than an arm, a leg, a firstborn, and $500, please send me a message. It's an emergency. The life you save may be my own.

  1. Oh my gosh, I can feel your pain!!
I don't know of anyone, but I think that you will have to bite the bullet and spend the money...if you have any chance at all to recover this work, it will be worth it.
I can only imagine what kind of pain you must be going through right now...

  2. I can't believe that both drives that I copied everything to had a suicide pact in the end. Who knew I needed a backup for my backup's backup too? This happened last summer to another hard drive I backed everything up to and that drive wasn't recoverable. I just can't believe this has happened. I've lost everything I've done.

  4. Don't rush off to your local PC repair shop - shop around online for a real expert.
